Career Day

Parents, Career Day is fast approaching and we need your help. Please schedule a time with your child(ren)’s teacher to attend class and talk with the students about your career. Please limit your talk to no more that ten (10) minutes. We are hoping for full support from each and every parent. So make tracks and plan to attend.

Student Of The Week

Frederick McKay is our Student Of The Week. Frederick worked hard all week long, got 100% on his pre and post Spelling Test, and handed in all his homework assignments on time. A BIG thumbs-up to Frederick.

No Winnine-the-Pooh

The Third Graders took a field trip to the Henry Doorly Zoo to study the habitat of a zoo bear. They got to see the bears eating lunch and later getting a wash down (bath).

Mr. Howard, the zookeeper, explained the diet and the upkeep of the bears. After we ate lunch, we tour the rest of the zoo before returning back to school. What a day.

Can Food Drive Was A Hugh Success

Thanks to the Students, Parents, Staff and Teacher for your support in the annual food drive. The Good Samaritan Mission received enough cans to restock their shelves.

As promised, all teachers will be wearing their pajamas to class on Friday.

Basketball Practice Begins In March

Any students wishing to play basketball MUST attend an information meeting on Monday, February 28th in the Gymnasium. You will need to have the following items with you:

Medical Record or Physical Card

Emergency Information

Parent Permission Slip

$15.00 Registration Fee

Padlock

Black Shorts (shirts will be provided)

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call Mr. Bird, coach or Miss. Smith, assistant coach at the school.

Each student will have equal playing time. We will rotate the starting lineup each game. Teams will be divided up according to grade level, not skill level.

In case of bad weather, one of the coaches will call your home.

Picture Day

Pictures day will be held Wednesday, March 8th. All monies will need to be turned in no later than Tuesday Morning.

Grades K-3 will be called between 9:30 until 10:45. All other grades will be called immediately after lunch until 1:45. Any students that came late or miss their appointed time will be called after 1:45.
