Summary of my sites:

Looking at all of the questions and answers above, write a paragraph telling why this Web site is helpful (or not helpful) for your project.

Search 1:

It would be very helpful. Not only does it tell you about their culture, it also gives you different ways to present or learn about it, such as: books, videos, tapes, etc. It provided many links to other places of interest and even have a category called 'roundtable' so that you can log on and talk to other educators, students and others.

Although it is a good site, teachers have to break down the materials needed for the age level being taught. Some of it is quite interesting but at the same time confusing. All in all, I will refer back to it. I am teaching this summer and this will be a constant reference for me to refer back to.

Search 2:

Would not be helpful at all. Very disappointed with the search. Had to go through several links before finding something that seemed interesting. Once I got there, did not like what I found. The search was too broad and covered many things under the topic. On one occasion, it gave me a list of nude/porno sites to review. Definitely not one to keep.

Search 3:

The search engine was awesome. I liked it better than the others. It took me less time trying to maneuver through the searches to find something that I liked. Northern Lights have an ingenious way of presenting a lot of material into smaller categories, especially the one that I chose to do. It not only gave me what I was looking for, but other things I might be interested in. The site that I did find was very helpful and provided many avenues for me to explore when I finished with my current site. Excellent, excellent, excellent.
